It's a bustling diner. Locals eat here, and it's unassuming and cheerful. Food is decent enough, and portions are generous. The waitstaff are efficient and helpful; they work as a team. We'll be back for breakfast.

This is one of the only restaurants left in the county that still has a true sit down dining experience. The food is excellent and the service so friendly. We took our family, a party of 11, and the service and food was just as good as when we're a party of 2. Keep up the good work. We travel from Wheeler to dine there.

A staple of Tillamook, located on N Main St (Highway 101). We came in at 10 o'clock a party of six. Was sat in a corner table. Lots of space. Service was friendly. The food did take a while, but everything came on at the same time which I appreciated. Large portions, flavorful and delicious.

My family and I went there at about 4:00 this afternoon so I can't speak to a lunch rush but I can say that the food was great! I ordered a spicy omelette, my husband had a bbq burger, and our kiddo had a personal pizza. All of it hit the spot. The restaurant was clean and had a couple of TVs, one playing a drama and another playing a soccer game. Both were muted with subtitles so they didn't distract from the meal. On our way out we picked up a box of their discounted day-old doughnuts and honestly they were some of the best doughnuts I've ever had. The lemon filled was tart with a strong flavor of fresh lemon, and they had a custard filled maple glazed that has got to be my new favorite doughnut. Delicious! Baked fresh they must be absolutely heavenly!

What a delightful surprise. Lin's was closed so then made our way to try this Cafe. It has been on the "to try" list for awhile and wish we'd stop by sooner. The staff was welcoming with smiles and prompt assistance. My Aunt and I both ordered the special..one getting finger steaks and the other popcorn chicken atop mashed potatoes smothered in gravy and cheese and side of freshly steamed brocolli (still perfectly crispy) It was the perfect comfort meal and even included a slice of pie. Loved every bite! The inside is so charming with curio cabinets with a varied and fun salt-n-pepper shaker collection. (Who knew there were ceramic Raiders helmet S&P shakers...so envious) Will definitely be back again and again.

The Fern Cafe this is a childhood memory! The restaurant has been a staple it seems for the longest time.. the inside is clean.. there is lots of seating and plenty of room in there for lots of people to dine.. my dad and I had breakfast there on a Friday. Simple two eggs and hash browns with toast.. not hard to mess up... but challenging to make right.. the chef that day nailed them hash browns were crispy and the over easy eggs were just the way they should be... runny yoke and the whites were cooked all the way thru... mashed great with my browns and the sour doe toast was good. I plowed through my plate and my old man could only take down half his... I enjoy my meals every time I go here...

Just to add to my initial review: We aren't locals, so we weren't sure exactly where to go for breakfast, and this place was the closest place we could find to a breakfast diner. It met most all of our expectations for a big American breakfast. That being said, since we're not local, we were unaware of any other breakfast place in the area. So my 5-star rating might be lowered to a 3.5 - 4 stars if there were some competition (besides Denny's). I'll reiterate that the bacon was the best part of the breakfast at this place, they keep the coffee coming, and the egg dishes, including the skillets, were spot on for us.

After reading the reviews from all the negative Karen's..I'm happy to post a great review. Fantastic to find a Bloody Mary at 8am which was topped with olives and pickled asparagus. Especially on a Tuesday morning. I ordered the Tillamook Cheese omelette and large side of bacon. So much food for very descent price. Coffee was hot and great local made coffee. The bacon was large and perfectly cooked. Omelette was loaded with lots of cheese. My husband had the Veggie Omelette and added jalapeños which was also great. Large salt and pepper collection. Charming rustic ambiance and was clean. Restroom toilet seat in women's needs repaired, but hey I don't expect perfect. Server was friendly and attentive. Food came quickly. Will definitely be back. We came here for breakfast. To set the stage, think Denny's food, it's a little better then that. You won't find some hidden food item that will blow your socks off. There, now you won't be disappointed eating here. Overall, the food was decent and the service was good. I can see where others complain about the wait times as if they are short staffed, it will be awhile. The winner goes to the French toast.
